PROVO, Utah — The Big 12 Conference today announced its baseball schedule for the 2027 season. BYU will play 30 conference games, including 15 contests at Miller Park and 15 on the road.
Conference play begins March 18 and concludes the weekend of May 21. Most of the Big 12 three-game series are scheduled for Friday-Sunday, while BYU games are scheduled for Thursday-Saturday.
BYU baseball will make road trips to Big 12 opponents Arizona State, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, TCU and Utah. Conference series at Miller Park include Arizona, Baylor, Houston, Texas Tech and West Virginia.
League opponents Cincinnati, Kansas and UCF, as well as Iowa State (who does not sponsor baseball), are not included in the Cougars’ regular-season schedule in 2027.
At the conclusion of the regular season, the Big 12 Baseball Tournament presented by Allstate will return to Surprise Stadium in Arizona, the spring training home of the Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers. The top 12 teams in the regular season standings will compete in the tournament, May 25-29.
Last season, the Big 12 sent six teams to the 2026 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship, extending the conference’s streak of five or more bids to five consecutive seasons and the 23rd time in 29 years. Three of BYU’s 2027 conference opponents are coming off appearances in last year’s NCAA Tournament, including Arizona State, Oklahoma State and West Virginia.
The No. 4 ranked Mountaineers won the NCAA Morgantown Regional and Super Regional to advance to the College World Series in Omaha before being eliminated by eventual NCAA runner-up North Carolina. West Virginia (No. 4) and Oklahoma State (No. 25) also finished the 2026 season ranked in final D1Baseball Top 25 Poll.
