NORMAN, Okla. — BYU men’s golfers Peter Kim, Angus Klintworth, Simon Kwon and Tyson Shelley earned 2025-26 Golf Coaches Association of America Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars honors, the association announced Monday.
To be selected as a Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar, a student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior or senior; participate in at least 50% of the team’s competitive rounds; have a stroke average below 76.0 in NCAA Division I; and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
The award recognizes excellence in academics and competition.
Kim, a business management major, finished the 2025-26 season with a 71.43 scoring average and competed in all 14 of BYU’s tournaments. The junior’s best performance came at The Tindall, where he tied for first at 14-under-par 202 to earn his second career victory.
Klintworth, a junior majoring in information systems, recorded a 72.5 scoring average. He posted his best finish at the Bridgestone Collegiate Invitational, tying for 20th with a 4-under total over 54 holes.
Kwon completed his BYU career with a career-best 70.88 scoring average. The finance major competed in all 14 events and notched four top-five finishes. His best result of the season came at The Tindall, where he carded a 10-under total to tie for third.
Shelley, a communications major and four-year starter for the Cougars, completed his final season in Provo with a 72.33 scoring average. The senior teed it up in 13 of 14 events and finished third at The Preserve Golf Club Collegiate at 11-under par.
