IRVING, Texas — The Big 12 Conference announced the dates and opponents for BYU women’s basketball’s 2026-27 league schedule Thursday morning.

Coming off a 9-9 Big 12 record and a ninth-place finish in Lee Cummard’s inaugural season as head coach—both program bests since joining the conference in 2023—the Cougars enter their fourth season as members of the Big 12.

BYU opens conference play Dec. 19 against Arizona in Tucson, aiming for its first Big 12 victory over the Wildcats.

Following an 11-day break, Cummard and the Cougars return to the Marriott Center for their Big 12 home opener against Kansas State on Dec. 30, before hosting Houston on Jan. 2 to ring in the new year.

BYU travels to Waco on Jan. 6 to face Baylor, kicking off a seven-game stretch featuring six 2026 NCAA Tournament teams. The Cougars then return home to host Arizona State on Jan. 9, visit Colorado on Jan. 13, and host Oklahoma State on Jan. 16.

The Cougars head to Fort Worth on Jan. 23 to face TCU, an Elite Eight finisher in 2026, before returning to the Marriott Center on Jan. 27 against UCF, seeking a fourth consecutive regular-season win over the Knights.

BYU begins a two-game road swing at Texas Tech on Jan. 30 before renewing its rivalry with Utah in Salt Lake City on Feb. 3. The Cougars swept all three matchups against the Utes last season, including a victory in the second round of the Big 12 Tournament.

On Saturday, Feb. 6, Kansas visits Provo for a rematch of the WBIT semifinal, which BYU won 70-67 behind six second-half 3-pointers from Sydney Benally and Olivia Hamlin. The Cougars wrap up the homestand Feb. 10 against Arizona.

BYU hosts Iowa State on Feb. 13, seeking a second straight win over the Cyclones following an 83-69 victory in Provo last season, before facing Colorado for a second time on Feb. 16 at home.

The Cougars’ final road trip of the regular season begins Feb. 20 at Cincinnati and concludes with a matchup against West Virginia in Morgantown.

BYU closes out the regular season at home on Feb. 27 with a rivalry showdown against Utah.
