PROVO, Utah – No. 4 BYU will race in the UVU Invitational, their first meet of the season, on Friday morning at Scera Park in Orem.
The Cougars are coming off a runner-up finish at last year’s NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships and are ranked No. 4 in the USTFCCCA national preseason poll released earlier this week.
BYU will be led by returners Nelah Roberts, Taylor Lovell and Zariel Macchia while former Big 12 Runner of the Week, Jenna Hutchins, will return to the course for the Cougars.
Lexi Goff-Thompson, Emerald Kehr, Tessa Buswell and Addie Meldrum are all returning to head coach Diljeet Taylor’s squad for the meet, as well as Northern Arizona transfer Karrie Baloga and freshman standout Macy Wingard.
The women's race will begin at 10 a.m. MT followed by the men at 10:45 a.m. MT. Admission is free.
