Legend Glasker honored as Big 12 Freshman of the Week

IRVING, Texas — BYU wide receiver Legend Glasker was today honored as the Big 12 Conference Freshman of the Week for the second time in the first three weeks of the 2026 season. 

The 6-1, 175-pound true freshman from Lehi, Utah, led all receivers with 131 yards on five catches in BYU’s 41-23 win at Colorado State on Saturday. In addition, Glasker had three carries for 21 yards and a touchdown against the Rams. 

On BYU’s second offensive series of the game, Glasker hauled in a 70-yard, one-handed catch from quarterback Bear Bachmeier down to the CSU two-yard line, setting up a touchdown on the next play by running back LJ Martin for a 14-7 lead. Then, with 1:18 to play before the half, Glasker took a jet sweep handoff five yards for a touchdown to give the Cougars a 31-7 halftime advantage. 

Glasker also received Big 12 Freshman of the Week honors in week one of the season with three catches for 65 yards and two touchdowns in BYU’s 63-7 win over Utah Tech. He also had two carries for 16 yards and a third touchdown in the game, accounting for 18 total points in his collegiate debut.

Through three games, Glasker leads BYU receivers with 11 catches for 270 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 24.5 yards per reception. In addition, he has six carrier for 42 yards and two more touchdowns to lead the Cougars in scoring with 24 points. 

BYU has a bye this week before heading to Fort Worth, Texas, to face TCU on Saturday, Oct. 3 at Amon G. Carter Stadium. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN or ESPN2 with kickoff scheduled for 6 p.m. CT (5 p.m. MT).
