PROVO, Utah — The Cougars open their fall season with a pair of tournaments this weekend, the Dar Walters Classic and the Sherwood Collegiate Cup, both beginning Friday and ending Sunday.
BYU will send sophomore Caden Hasler and senior Otto Schreiner to Boise, Idaho to compete in the Dar Walters Classic. Hasler and Schreiner will look to capture the Cougars’ second straight doubles crown after an all-Cougars final last year. They will compete alongside host Boise State, Air Force, Idaho, Idaho State, Montana State, Nevada, Portland and Weber State.
Sophomore Yubel Ubri, senior TJ Wells, senior Tygen Goldammer and sophomore transfer Leon Peranovic will represent the Cougars in Thousand Oaks, Calif. at the Sherwood Collegiate Cup. Pepperdine, Saint Mary's, UCLA, Grand Canyon, Pacific, Cal Poly, USC, LMU, SMU, New Mexico and Cal will also be in attendance.
