NORMAN, Okla. — BYU men’s golf was ranked No. 24 in the second 2026-27 Bushnell/Golfweek Division I Coaches’ Poll, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced Friday.
The Cougars received 74 points, dropping one spot from their preseason ranking of No. 23.
BYU has competed in one tournament this season, finishing fourth at the Vuori Invitational at 12-over par. Three Cougars finished in the top 25, including preseason All-American Kihei Akina, who placed second at 3-under par.
Three other Big 12 schools were ranked in the poll, with all three in the top five. Oklahoma State received 12 first-place votes and 612 points to rank No. 2, followed by Arizona State at No. 3 and Texas Tech at No. 5.
The Cougars begin play Friday at the William H. Tucker Invitational in Albuquerque, New Mexico, their second event of the season.
