THE COUGARS. BYU women’s soccer (6-2-2, 2-0-1 Big 12) extended its South Field unbeaten streak with a 2-0 win over TCU Monday night. This was their first shutout in over a month. Emma Hamberlin scored her fourth goal of the year and Sophie Sivulich added her second. True freshman Anna Neff tallied two assists on the night, the first of her career. She earned Big 12 Freshman of the Week honors following her performance.
THE WILDCATS. Kansas State (5-2-4, 0-2-1 Big 12) lost to Arizona State 2-0 on Sunday afternoon. In the loss, Wildcat goalkeeper Maddie Sibbing stopped her second penalty kick of the season to prevent ASU from getting a third goal on the night. Despite falling to the Sun Devils, the Wildcats held the shot advantage 16-10.
COUGARS VS. WILDCATS. BYU and Kansas State have played three times in program history, with the Cougars leading the overall series 3-0. The Cougars did not face the Wildcats last year, but beat them 1-0 on the road in 2024. That game was BYU’s first road win of the 2024 season.
