NORMAN, Okla. — BYU men’s golf was ranked No. 23 in the Preseason 2026-27 Bushnell/Golfweek Division I Coaches’ Poll, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced Friday.
The Cougars received 131 points, marking their second consecutive appearance in the Bushnell/Golfweek preseason coaches’ poll. BYU was ranked No. 13 ahead of the 2025-26 season.
Four other Big 12 schools made the list, including three in the top five. Oklahoma State, which also received five first-place votes, ranked No. 3, followed by Arizona State at No. 4 and Texas Tech at No. 5. Arizona ranked one spot behind the Cougars at No. 24.
BYU was also ranked No. 18 in Golf Channel’s 2026-27 preseason rankings and No. 23 in Golfweek’s 2026-27 preseason rankings, both released Monday.
The Cougars look to build on last season’s momentum after finishing 18th at the NCAA Championship. BYU opens the 2026-27 season at the Vuori Invitational on Sept. 14-15 in San Diego.
