PROVO, Utah — BYU Athletics and PV3 Enterprises today announced a landmark long-term partnership that represents the largest philanthropic commitment in the history of BYU Athletics. The partnership combines a substantial investment in football facilities and a customized name, image and likeness (NIL) initiative that includes agreements with more than 40 current BYU student-athletes.
“We are really grateful for the PV3 team and the level of commitment that they’ve shown to BYU Football,” said Kalani Sitake, BYU head football coach. “Mark and Jason and their team are about providing a transformational opportunity to our players, not just transactional deals, and doing things the right way. We want to give our players every opportunity to succeed while they’re here and into their futures, and PV3 is really helping us accomplish that.”
PV3 principals Mark Hancock and Jason Murray have been longtime supporters of BYU Athletics and share a deep commitment to the athletic department, university's mission and the development of its student-athletes. Through PV3 Enterprises, they are expanding that commitment by combining philanthropy, student-executive mentoring and long-term business partnerships to help build a sustainable competitive advantage for BYU football and provide long-term benefits off the field for student-athletes.
The new NIL platform will primarily connect BYU football student-athletes with meaningful endorsement opportunities across PV3’s growing portfolio of businesses, including ENVE Composites, Seven Brothers Burgers, Round Valley Golf, Pica Rica BBQ, Red 7 Marketing, 83rd Marketplace and the recently-rebranded Utah Motorsports Park, West Desert.
As part of the long-term partnership, PV3 will receive prominent branding placements within the BYU football program, including naming the playing surface at LaVell Edwards Stadium “PV3 Field,” along with other integrated branding opportunities.
Together, BYU Athletics and PV3 Enterprises are building a unique partnership that aligns philanthropy, business leadership and innovative NIL opportunities to strengthen BYU football and position the program for long-term success.
"We believe deeply in the mission of BYU and the impact its football program has on young men, the university and Cougar fans around the world," said Mark Hancock, principal of PV3 and a BYU alumnus who earned a bachelor’s degree in 1999 and an MBA from the BYU Marriott School of Business in 2001. "This partnership reflects our long-term commitment to helping BYU football succeed, not just today, but for generations to come."
"This partnership is about far more than a financial contribution," said Jason Murray, principal PV3 Enterprises. "We're bringing the full strength of the PV3 platform by connecting student-athletes with meaningful business opportunities across our portfolio and creating relationships that can continue long after their playing careers are over."
