IRVING, Texas — The BYU defensive line was today honored as the Defensive Line of the Week by the Big 12 Conference.

In the 24-10 win over Iowa State last Friday, BYU held the Cyclones to 200 yards of total offense, including just 49 yards in the first half. It was the Cyclones’ lowest total since compiling just 188 yards at Iowa in 2018. ISU, who was averaging 197.4 rushing yards per game, was held to just 94 yards, led by the Cougars' smothering defense line.

The BYU defensive line collected 18 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and a sack in the win.

No. 8 BYU will host No. 2 Notre Dame at Lavell Edwards Stadium on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. MDT. It will be the first matchup between two Top-10 teams in Provo, in BYU program history. The game will be broadcast on ABC with live play-by-play coverage from Greg Wrubell on BYU Radio.
