IRVING, Texas — The BYU offensive line was honored today as the Offensive Line of the Week by the Big 12 Conference for its role in the Cougars’ 28-24 win over then No. 2 ranked Notre Dame.
Behind an offensive line that did not surrender a single sack for a second week in a row, BYU rolled up 360 yards of offense on Notre Dame, the No. 1 defensive team in the nation—the most yards allowed by Notre Dame since Oct. 18, 2025 against USC. The Irish were holding opponents to just 214 yards per game while averaging 2.5 sacks and 5.7 tackles. The Cougar offensive line surrendered no sacks and just two TFL in the win.
BYU also rushed for 121 yards on the Irish’s No. 3 ranked rushing defense. Notre Dame had held seven-straight opponents under 100 yards rushing, dating to 2025. Prior to BYU, the highest total rushing yards Notre Dame has surrendered all year was 77 yards at North Carolina.
No. 2 BYU travels to Orlando to take on UCF on Saturday, Oct. 24 at 3:30 p.m. ET (1:30 p.m. MT) at the Acrisure Bounce House. The game will be broadcast on FOX with live radio coverage on BYU Radio.
