Gibb comes off a season in which she was one of three players in NCAA Division I to average at least 18 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals per game, joining Notre Dame's Hannah Hidalgo and Liv McGill, who played at Florida before transferring to Oklahoma State for the 2026–27 season.

The junior received All-Big 12 First Team honors after leading the Cougars to a 26-12 record—the second-most wins in BYU history—two Big 12 Tournament wins (the first since BYU entered the league in 2023) and a run through the Women's Basketball Invitational Tournament that included wins over Alabama A&M, Missouri, Stanford and Kansas.

With the Cougars sitting at 17-10 in late February, Gibb led BYU to a 9-2 record over the final 11 games of the season, with the only losses coming to No. 10 TCU and Columbia in the WBIT title game. The native of Raymond, Alberta, averaged 21.9 points, 6.6 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 2.5 steals and nearly a block per game during that stretch, while shooting 41 percent from the floor and 38.1 percent from behind the arc.

The Cougar floor general scored in double figures in 29 of 38 games, recorded 12 20-point performances and scored a career-high 37 points in an 86-74 win at Utah, becoming the first BYU player to score 35 or more points more than once in the last decade. She also recorded at least five assists in 16 games, with BYU going 12-4 in those contests.

Gibb and the Cougars have their final tuneup for the 2026–27 season tonight as they take on the Western Colorado Mountaineers at the Marriott Center. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. MT. BYU will officially open the season against the Idaho State Bengals on Tuesday, Nov. 3, at 7 p.m. in the Marriott Center.

About the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award
The Ann Meyers Drysdale Award, in its ninth year, honors the top shooting guard in women's NCAA Division I college basketball. It is named after the Class of 1993 Hall of Famer, the first player, regardless of gender, to be chosen for an All-America Team in four consecutive college seasons.

Fans are encouraged to participate in fan voting in each of the two rounds starting on Friday, Oct. 30. The list will be cut to 10 in late February, with the final five being announced in March. The five finalists will be presented to Meyers Drysdale and the Hall of Fame’s selection committees, where the winner will be selected. The Selection Committee for the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award is composed of top women’s college basketball personnel, including media members, head coaches, sports information directors, and Hall of Famers.

The winner of the 2027 Ann Meyers Drysdale Award will be presented on a to-be-determined date, along with the four other members of the Women’s Starting Five.
