STILLWATER, Okla. - No. 1 BYU will return to the Greiner Family OSU cross country course to take its shot at the Big 12 Championship title this Saturday, Oct. 31, at 9:00 a.m. MDT.
Led by head coach Diljeet Taylor, the Cougars are not only hoping to extend their undefeated 2026 season, but they are fighting for their fourth-straight Big 12 title, having won each championship race since the university joined the conference in 2023.
BYU has only run against two other Big 12 teams this season, one being No. 7 Oklahoma State at the Cowboy Jamboree and the other being No. 16 Utah at the UVU Invitational. Both universities fell to the Cougars in the team results. Oklahoma State runners Billah Jepkirui and Maureen Cherotich took first and second ahead of BYU's Jane Hedengren at the Cowboy Jamboree, running the same course that will hold this weekend's championship meet.

After missing Pre-Nationals in Indiana two weeks ago, Hedengren will return to the lineup for the Cougars, along with top 10 Pre-Nationals finisher Taylor Rohatinsky. Although she is the only athlete on this week's roster to have not run the Greiner Family Course this season, Rohatinsky ran the course at last year's Cowboy Jamboree, crossing in 20:23.8 and taking fourth place.
Also representing BYU in Oklahoma will be Taylor Lovell, Lexi Goff-Thompson and Karrie Baloga, who all placed in the top 20 at the Indiana Pre-Nationals, as well as Jenna Hutchins, Zariel Macchia and Nelah Roberts, who finished in the top 30. Freshmen Lily Alder and Macy Wingard will round out the Cougars' lineup, running in their first collegiate post-season race.
The women's race will be streamed on ESPN+ at 9:00 a.m. MDT, with the men's race to follow at 10:00 a.m. MDT. Live results will be provided by Primetime Timing, and a link is found below.
