PROVO, UT – This week BYU will travel to Texas to compete in the SMU Invitational hosted at Stylslinger/Altec Tennis Complex on the campus of Southern Methodist University.
The Cougars will be represented by sophomores Yubel Ubri, Caden Hasler, Leon Peranovic, junior Hardy Owen and senior Otto Schriener. They will match up against athletes from Baylor, Rice, Harvard, UT Arlington, New Mexico, Memphis, TCU, Oklahoma, UTSA and Texas A&M Corpus Christi.
The tournament will include both singles and doubles matches, with BYU planning to switch its double pairings each day.
Yubel and Peranovic will look to continue the success they found at the ITA Regional, lining up once again as doubles partners. Hasler too will seek to build on momentum gained in his singles matches played at the ITA Regional, where he advanced to the Round of 32.
The matches will begin Thursday, October 29th and go until Saturday, October 31st.
