PROVO, Utah – BYU men's tennis plays host to the ITA Mountain Regional Championship this week, a showcase of the top tennis programs on the West Coast. The tournament begins Tuesday, October 6th and matches will be played through Saturday, October 10th. 

BYU will look for a repeat victory after Otto Schreiner and Adam Chodur delivered the Cougars an ITA Mountain Regional Doubles Championship at last year's tournament. Schreiner, a senior, will lead the Cougars following the graduation of Chodur. 

The Cougars enter the tournament as an experienced team with four seniors on the roster, TJ Wells, David Duong, Tygen Goldammer and Schreiner. They will aim to lead a trio of exciting young sophomores, Yubel Ubri, Caden Hasler and Leon Peranovic, to new heights this season. BYU rounds out its roster with junior Hardy Owen, a formidable and foundational piece of the Cougars squad. 

BYU is led by fourth-year head coach Zach Warren, fourth-year head coach Johnathan Sanchez and former player flipped graduate assistant Alex Edmonston.

The Cougars' draw will come from a pool of athletes from Air Force, Boise State, Denver, Idaho State, Montana State, NAU, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, UNLV, Utah State, Weber State.
