PHILADELPHIA — BYU receiver Legend Glasker was today named one of 14 national semifinalists for the Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year Award presented by the Maxwell Football Club.
Now in its ninth year, the award is presented annually to the outstanding freshman in college football, recognizing his exceptional performance and significant impact on his team throughout the season.
Glasker has helped lead BYU to a 7-1 record and a No. 9 ranking in the College Football Playoff rankings and No. 7 in the AP Top 25. The 6-1, 175-pound true freshman from Lehi, Utah, leads the Cougars with 32 receptions for 585 yards (18.3 yards per reception) and four touchdowns, while adding 109 rushing yards (6.4 yards per carry) and two scores on 17 carries.
He has recorded at least three receptions in every game this season and has been named Big 12 Freshman of the Week twice following BYU’s wins over Utah Tech and Colorado State.
In late October, Glasker was named to The Athletic Midseason Freshman All-America Team, reflecting his production through seven weeks of the 2026 season with regards to playing time, level of competition, overall role and stats provided by Pro Football Focus factoring into the selection process.
