PROVO, Utah — No. 36 BYU women’s tennis returns to Provo this week with momentum in hand and opportunity on the horizon.
The Cougars host No. 73 Kansas State on Thursday at 12 p.m. MDT before welcoming No. 25 Oklahoma State on Saturday at 11 a.m. MDT at the Outdoor Tennis Courts in a pair of key Big 12 matchups.
BYU enters the weekend at 15-4 overall and 4-3 in conference play, riding a four-match win streak. The Cougars have been dominant on their home courts this season, posting a 6-0 record in Provo.
Thursday’s contest features a Kansas State team searching for a reset. The Wildcats are 5-8 overall and 2-5 in Big 12 play and enter on a four-match losing streak. Despite recent struggles, Kansas State brings a ranked presence into Provo and will look to challenge a BYU team that has yet to drop a home match.
Saturday’s matchup presents one of BYU’s toughest tests of the season. No. 25 Oklahoma State sits near the top of the conference standings with an 8-6 overall record and a 5-2 mark in Big 12 play. The Cowgirls have proven they can win away from home, holding a 3-1 road record.
BYU’s recent success has been fueled by its ability to stay composed in tight moments and deliver across both doubles and singles play. That consistency has turned close matches into wins during the Cougars’ current streak.
With the regular season entering a critical stretch, BYU will look to keep its momentum rolling, defend its home courts and continue climbing in the Big 12 standings.
