PROVO, Utah — No. 36 BYU women’s tennis has been awarded a Big 12 victory after No. 25 Oklahoma State forfeited Saturday's match due to an insufficient number of available players.

The match was scheduled for 12 p.m. MDT at the Outdoor Tennis Courts in Provo. With the forfeit, the Cougars improve to 17-4 overall and 6-3 in Big 12 play, extending their momentum in conference competition.

The Cowgirls fall to 8-8 overall and 6-4 in Big 12 play.

BYU entered the weekend coming off a strong 4-0 sweep over No. 73 Kansas State on Thursday in Provo, securing the doubles point and three straight singles wins to clinch the match. The Cougars have now won five consecutive matches and remain unbeaten at home this season.
