Career Highlights
- Under Wardenburg’s tutelage, the Southern Virginia Knights improved from winning five games in the two seasons before his arrival to winning 27 games during the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons.
- Assisted Coach Todd Simon in all aspects of transforming a program that had won 5 games in 2015-16 to winning their first Big Sky Championship in 2020-21.
- In his first season as a college head coach, Wardenburg led the Indian Hills Warriors to a 29-5 record and a trip to the national NJCAA quarterfinals (2014-15)
- Coached Indian Hills Community College to the NJCAA National Championship (2014)
- Led the BYU Hawaii Seasiders to the NCAA Division II title game (2011)
- Helped the BYU Cougars to three straight Mountain West Conference titles (2007, 2008, 2009), 6 NCAA Tournament appearances and two trips to the National Invitational Tournament.
- He was instrumental in the recruiting and coaching of the now-women's basketball head coach, Lee Cummard, on whose staff he serves.
- Coached the Pine View (Utah) Panthers to their first state boys basketball championship in school history (2001).
