As a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and Certified Mental Performance Consultant (in training), I help student-athletes, coaches, and staff with the following:
- Mental health concerns (e.g., anxiety, depression, body image issues, stress management, injury recovery)
- Relationship challenges (with teammates, coaches, family members, significant others, friends)
- Mental performance (emotion regulation, pre-performance routines, visualization/imagery, confidence, goal setting, performing under pressure, mental toughness, relaxation techniques, mindfulness practices)

- Ph.D.—Medical Family Therapy (East Carolina University, 2019)
Prior to BYU
- Spent 4 years serving as the Director of Mental Performance and Counseling Services for IUPUI Athletics (Indianapolis, IN)
- Working with student-athletes and coaches from all 18 Division I men’s and women’s sport teams
Personal
- BYU Football Player (TE/OT), 2008-2012
- Four-year letterman
- Played all 52 games of career, 41 starts at offensive tackle
- Invited to the 2013 NFL Combine
- Signed a contract with the St. Louis Rams as an Un-drafted Free Agent, but retired due to injury a year later
- Hometown: Salt Lake City, UT
- Helping student-athletes navigate the inevitable challenges of life and reach their full potential—not only in their sport, but in life—is my greatest passion
- Married to Rachel for 15 years, with 3 amazing kids
- Love working out (weightlifting), playing golf, listening to music, watching sports, hiking, and spending time/making memories with my family
