David Newman was named a volunteer assistant coach for the BYU swim team in August 2019.
A native of San Diego, California, Newman is a 2017 graduate of Utah State with a bachelor’s of science degree in human movement. He received a master’s degree in education from USU in 2019. After teaching over 20 courses he was awarded 2019 Graduate Teaching Assistant of the Year.
