Responsibilities
Director of the Student Athlete Academic Center since August 2002. He started as the academic football coach in 2001. His current responsibilities include providing support and resources for student-athletes to be successful in their academic and athletic pursuits, personal and career development, and transition into the university system. He serves on several on-campus committees as an athletic liaison.
Education
Master's degree in physical education (emphasis in athletic administration) from Idaho State University (1994) and a bachelor's degree, also in physical education, from Brigham Young University (1984).

2001-2011
Prior to BYU
Assistant football coach, offensive coordinator at Ricks College (BYU-Idaho) from 1991-1997. He was also an assistant basketball coach from 1997-2001. He also taught college algebra courses at Ricks College and BYU. Before Ricks College, Caffaro was the defensive coordinator on the football coaching staff at Snow College from 1986 to 1991 after working for Thomson McKinnon Securities on Wall Street from 1984-1986.
