CAREEER HIGHLIGHTS
- Melinda Bendall joins the BYU women's basketball staff as an assistant coach in August 2011.
- After graduating from BYU she returned to her alma mater, Murray High School, as an assistant coach for two seasons from 2007 to 2009 and was part of the staff that won two region championships.
- In 2009 she was named head coach at Timpanogos High School guiding the team to a region 7 championship. She was later named Region 7 Coach of the Year.
- Bendall also coached the Utah Flight Basketball Club from 2008 to 2010.
- Bendall was a three-year starter on the Cougar women's basketball team from 2003 to 2007 finishing 10th all-time in assists with 347 and 11th in the number of games played with 122.
- She was named Honorable Mention All-MWC her senior year and was a team-captain that same season. Bendall led the team in assists and in steals her junior and senior year. In her four years she averaged 4.1 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.3 steals per game.
PERSONAL
- She prepped at Murray High School where she was named Female Athlete of the Year for the 2002-03 season and was the Region 5 Player of the Year.
- She lettered in basketball and softball.
- Bendall, who is married to Nathan, graduated from BYU with a degree in Health Sciences. The couple currently resides in Murray with their two sons, Crew and Beckham.
