PROVO, Utah — The BYU baseball game versus Arizona State, originally scheduled for Monday, April 26, has been moved to Tuesday, April 27 at 11:30 a.m. MDT at Miller Park.

Tickets originally purchased for the Monday game will now be honored on Tuesday. The decision to move the contest to Tuesday was made to avoid inclement weather anticipated for Monday.

The game will be broadcast live on the BYUtv App as well as online at BYUtv.org. The BYU Sports Network—BYU Radio FM 107.9, BYUCougars.com and the BYU Cougars app—will also have the live radio broadcast of the game.

The Sun Devils wrapped up a weekend series at Utah on Sunday, winning two of three games from the Utes at Smith’s Ballpark. The Cougars are coming off four games last week that included a 3-2 win over Dixie State on Tuesday at Miller Park before three road losses at Gonzaga, who is leading the WCC with a 14-4 record.

BYU is 12-23 on the year, while ASU enters the game at 22-13 and ranked No. 23 in the recent Collegiate Baseball News NCAA D1 baseball poll.

BYU and Arizona State have previously met 56 times in baseball, with the Sun Devils holding a 46-10 advantage in the all-time series. The Cougars last faced ASU on May 21, 2013 in Arizona. BYU won the midweek contest 8-3.

Despite the long history between the two former WAC foes, the Sun Devils have not played in Provo since the 1977 WAC Playoff series between the two divisional winners. ASU, the southern division champions, defeated the northern champion Cougars 2-0 in the best of three series. ASU went on to win the 1977 College World Series defeating South Carolina in the championship game.

Following Tuesday’s home game, the Cougars will host St. Mary’s in a WCC three-game series April 29-May 1 at Miller Park. The Gaels are 20-17 on the year and 9-9 in WCC play.
