PROVO, Utah – ESPN and INFINITI announced Sunday morning that BYU men’s basketball coach Dave Rose has been named the winner of the 2018 INFINITI Coaches’ Charity Challenge.

"Thank you to everyone who voted and encouraged people to vote to help us win the Coaches’ Charity Challenge," Rose said. "The battle against cancer is very personal for me and my family as it is for many others. I’m so grateful that the money we won will go to the Simmons Center for Cancer Research right here on our campus. This is a wonderful event that ESPN and INFINITI put together."

Cougar fans voted at ESPN.com, on Twitter and on Instagram, to help Rose advance through four rounds of the challenge, which began on Jan. 2 with 48 NCAA Division I coaches. In the final round, Rose defeated three other coaches to claim $100,000 for the BYU Simmons Center for Cancer Research. Cougar fans also helped Rose raise an additional $4,500 for the Simmons Center by garnering enough votes to qualify for charity boost promotions in the first three rounds.
