BYU hosts Loyola Marymount on Thursday

PROVO, Utah – BYU returns to the friendly confines of the Marriott Center on Thursday, Feb. 24, when the Cougars host Loyola Marymount. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. MST.

Thursday’s contest will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network. It will also be broadcast live on BYU Sports Network and BYU Radio – Sirius XM 143/89.1 FM HD2 and KSL 102.7 FM/1160 AM.

  • Alex Barcello, the third leading scorer in the West Coast Conference, moved up to 28th on the all-time scoring list following his 22-point performance against the Gaels.
  • Barcello ranks third in NCAA Division I men’s basketball in 3-point percentage as the Chandler, Ariz. Is shooting 46.1 percent from downtown.
  • Fousseyni Traore had five rebounds on Saturday, giving him 213 boards on the season and moving the Bamako, Mali native up to third on the freshman list.

  • Eli Scott does it all for the Lions as the senior leads the team in scoring, rebounding and assists. The Chino Hills, Calif.  native ranks fifth in the WCC in scoring at 17.1 points per game to go along with 6.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists per contest.
