Knell earns WCC All-Academic honors for second straight season

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Trevin Knell was honored for his work on and off the court onThursday afternoon when the West Coast Conference released its 2022 All-Academic honors.

Knell earns first team academic honors for a second straight season becoming the fourth player in program history to receive multiple WCC all-academic honors joining TJ Haws, Connor Harding and Luke Worthington.

The Woods Cross native has held a 3.48 GPA in business management while appearing in 81 games including 24 starts during his time in Provo. He currently ranks 17th in program history in 3-point field goal percentage (.386) and sits just outside the Top 20 in 3-point makes and attempts.

In his three seasons as a Cougar, Knell has scored in double figures 16 times including a trio of 15-point performances last season. He went 5-of-8 from 3-point range in BYU’s NIT second round victory over Northern Iowa at the Marriott Center.
