Kuest earns PING All-America honors

NORMAN, Okla. – BYU junior golfer Peter Kuest was named to the Division I PING All-America Second Team on Thursday by the Golf Coaches Association of America. Junior Rhett Rasmussen was named an honorable mention.
Kuest, the WCC Player of the Year and all-region honoree, won five tournaments during the season, including the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate, St. Mary's Invitational, John A. Burns, Intercollegiate, Pacific Invitational and Cougar Classic. He also competed in the Arnold Palmer Cup for the United States team in June.
Rasmussen finished the season strong, winning the NCAA Pullman Regional after earning a spot on the All-WCC First Team. He also had two other top-five finishes during the 2018-19 season and was an all-region selection.
Both Kuest and Rasmussen competed at the NCAA Championships with BYU in May.
In 2018, Patrick Fishburn was named to the third team by the GCAA, giving the Cougars back-to-back years with at least one honoree.
