PROVO, Utah – BYU track and field had 14 members of its 2021 squad qualify for the U.S Olympic Team Trials – Track and Field, which will take place June 18-27 in Eugene, Oregon at Hayward Field. NBC and NBCSN will provide coverage over eight nights, including six primetime on NBC.

Eight members of this year’s men’s squad and six members of the women’s team qualified for the U.S. Olympic Trials. The Cougars also have alumni Abraham Alvarado, Zach Blackham and Makenna Myler competing in the Olympic Trials, totaling 17 current and former athletes with BYU ties vying for spots on the U.S. Olympic Team. To qualify, athletes either achieved the USATF qualifying standard in their respective event or had marks close enough to be accepted into the field.
