Las Cruces, N.M. - The BYU women's golf team completed day two of the Price's Intercollegiate in 12th place on Tuesday.

"We have five players all playing to count a score," BYU women's golf head coach Carrie Roberts said. "I felt three players played well and we just need to add that fourth score to put a good total together."

The Cougars dipped into 12th place after the second round at 33-over-par ahead of University of Texas at El Paso (+36) and in-state participant Utah Valley University (+51). University of California, Irvine (+1) remained on top at one-over-par with Portland (+3) trailing at three-over-par.

Sophomore Lea Garner jumped up in the ranks from being tied in 47th place to being tied in 29th place with a total score of 150, six-over-par, after day two of the 14-team tournament. Garner also included two birdies in her second round.

"It was a great round by Lea," Roberts said. "She started to hit it well again."

Freshman Brooklyn Anderson followed up tied in 37th place at seven-over-par, while Annika Afoa Kahaialii completed the second round right behind at eight-over-par along with three birdies.

Selu Fotu tied in 57th place at 12-over-par and Carly Oldroyd finished 25-over-par to end the round.

"If we can drive the ball better tomorrow, we will play well," Roberts said.

BYU will conclude its final round on Wednesday with tee times beginning at 8:30 a.m. MDT. Stats for the final round can be followed at golfstats.com
