PROVO, Utah – No. 4 BYU can clinch at least a share of the West Coast Conference title on Saturday against Gonzaga at South Field, as it honors its seniors in this year's last regular-season game.
The Cougars (15-2-1, 6-1-1 WCC) are tied with Pepperdine, who also plays its final game on Saturday, in the conference standings. Depending on what the Waves do against Pacific earlier that day, BYU will be playing for either a shared or outright league title.
At stake is the Cougars' fifth-straight WCC championship.
The Bulldogs (6-9-2, 2-6-0 WCC) lost back-to-back games against Santa Clara and San Francisco last week after two-straight wins. Gonzaga has gone 1-5-1 away from Spokane.
Senior forward Karley Baggerly leads the Bulldogs in points with six goals and three assists. In her Gonzaga career, she has 24 goals and 12 assists. Aliyah Miller, from Bountiful, Utah, has four goals and two assists.
