PROVO, Utah – BYU track and field returns to action this week at the Ed Jacoby Indoor Invitational at Boise State Friday and Saturday.

"This is our first road trip this season and a good opportunity to see how cohesive we are as a team," BYU head coach Ed Eyestone said.

The Cougars are taking a full squad to the meet and have athletes slated for 26 of the 33 events. Teams throughout the West and Northwest, including in-state rival Utah State, will compete against BYU.

Quotes

Head coach Ed Eyestone

"This is a 200-meter banked track, and that's great for our runners who may make nationals, because they'll see the same kind of track there."

"We'll be opening up our female distance runners this weekend and really giving them an opportunity to post times and get race experience. In particular, we're looking forward to Shea Martinez and Kelsey Brown, who will run the mile."

"We're excited about Tatenda Tsumba, who is coming off a great long jump last week after being with the team for only a week."

We're also looking forward to another good performance from Zachary Stetler, who had an extremely good shot put throw last week."
