TALLAHASSEE -- BYU receiver Austin Collie has been named one of 10 finalists for the Biletnikoff Award, which annually recognizes the top wide receiver in college football.

Collie, a 6-2, 206-pound junior from El Dorado Hills, Calif., currently leads the nation in yards receiving (1,185) and receiving yards per game (118.5). He is fourth in receptions (78) and touchdowns for a wide receiver (13), and fifth in receptions per game (6.7).

Collie has currently recorded eight consecutive 100-yard receiving games, setting new BYU and MWC records. He also holds the MWC and BYU record for 100-yard games in a season (8) and a career (14).

On Oct. 11, 2008, Collie recorded a career-high 155 receiving yards against New Mexico and was later named MWC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance.

Collie’s career 2,902 yards receiving is currently second all-time at BYU behind Eric Drage (3,065 yards). His 187 career receptions is third all-time behind Matt Bellini (204) and Margin Hooks (189).

The other 2008 finalists for the Biletnikoff Award include Eric Decker (Minnesota), Kerry Meier (Kansas), Chase Coffman (Missouri), Jeremy Maclin (Missouri), Casey Fitzgerald (North Texas), Dez Bryant (Oklahoma State), Jared Dillard (Rice), Quan Cosby (Texas) and Michael Crabtree (Texas Tech).

The winner of the Biletnikoff Award will be announced as part of ESPN's College Football Awards Show on Dec. 11.
