STOCKTON, Calif. – BYU men's golf took fourth place at the WCC Championship this weekend at The Reserve at Spanos Park.
"We gave a lot of shots away," BYU head coach Bruce Brockbank said. "It was a disappointing last couple of rounds for us."
Carson Lundell tied for the best round of the day with a four-under. His performance gave him BYU's best overall score of three-under and a tie for sixth place.
Peter Kuest also finished in the top 10 with a two-under for the tournament. His five-under 67 in the first round was the second-best score on Thursday.
Rhett Rasmussen and Brock Stanger finished at two-over to tie for 20th. Kelton Hirsch ended with a nine-over.
BYU came into the day in third place and fell to fourth after shooting even-par in the final round to wind up at three-under. Pepperdine claimed the conference title with a 13-under. RJ Manke of the Waves took medalist honors with a six-under and playoff win over LMU's Riley Elmes.
