SAN FRANCISCO — No. 42 BYU men’s golf posted rounds of 294-276-288—858 to finish 13th at the Goodwin at TPC Hardin Park on Saturday.

No. 13 Oklahoma (275-273-274—822) shot 18-under-par to take home the team title in a six-shot victory over No. 11 Georgia Tech (277-270-281—828).

No. 7 Stanford (273-283-283—841) finished at 1-under to take third with San Francisco (280-278-283—839) earning a fourth-place finish. California (283-283-276—842) and San Diego (284-270-288—842) rounded out to the top-5 in a tie for 5th at 1-over-par.

Carson Lundell was the low finisher for the Cougars, earning his seventh top-25 finish in nine events this season. The senior carded rounds of 72-67-72—211 for a 1-over-par total to earn a share of 24th in San Francisco.

Zac Jones finished in a tie for 32nd after shooting 75-65-73—212 while David Timmins fired a 3-under final round to turn in scores of 74-74-67—215 and finish tied for 52nd.

Tyson Shelley, playing as an individual competitor, shot 75-72-73—220 for a 10-over total while Max Brenchley turned in scores of 74-71-77—222. Keanu Akina rounded out the scoring for the Cougars by shooting 74-73-78—225.

The Cougars have the next week off but will be back in action at the 76th Western Intercollegiate at Pasatiempo Golf Club, April 10-12.
