LAS CRUCES, N.M. — The BYU women's tennis team finished play at ITA Regionals with a quarterfinals appearance and eight total victories.

For singles, seniors Bobo Huang and Kendall Kovick competed in the main draw, while Sue Yan Tan, Hiba Heni and Bitsy Tullis were in the qualifying draw.

Kovick advanced to the round of 16 in the main draw, while Huang, Tan, Heni and Tullis lost their first- or second-round matches and represented the Cougars in the consolation draws.

Huang and Kovick teamed up for the doubles main draw with a No. 3 ranking and advanced to the quarterfinals before losing in a close 8-7 set.

"Regionals proved as a great opportunity to test ourselves," said head coach Holly Hasler. "We found many things we're doing well and areas we need to improve on, which will prepare us for our season. We're excited to test ourselves again and continue getting better at TCU in two weeks."
