PROVO, Utah — In their final non-conference match of the season, the BYU women's tennis team swept No. 55 Fresno State, increasing their record to 10-3 overall and 5-0 at home.

"We built some great confidence at home this weekend," said head coach Holly Hasler. "We are playing more disciplined and with more confidence, and we're improving as the season progresses. I like where we are going into conference play."

The Cougars' victory over the Bulldogs ends a three-match win streak for Fresno State, as well as a 3-0 away record.

Doubles Results

Order of finish: 3,2

Levelston and Tullis took the first doubles match with a quick 6-1 victory. The other two matches were closer, as Bluestein and Kovick battled for a service break and finally got it to win 6-4.

Huang and Tan left their match unfinished after three-straight games won.

Singles Results

Order of finish: 3,4,2,1,5,6

Kovick took a quick first set 6-1, then fell 0-3 in the second. However, she came back with four-straight games to win 6-4. Smith took the second singles point for the Cougars with a 6-1 6-2 victory.

Huang and Levelston battled side by side and each only allowed their opponents to win five total games. Both athletes won in two sets, and Huang's victory secured the match for BYU.

Tan and Tullis continued the Cougars' win streak with two more matches won in two sets each, and BYU took the match 7-0.
