CINCINNATI, Ohio — Alongside a doubles victory and two other singles wins, Maddy Smith took the final point for the Cougars with a first-set tiebreak win and a 6-2 second set.
The women's tennis team's victory over the Bearcats marks their first road Big 12 win this season, putting them at 3-3 in conference play.

Tan and Huang took the first doubles match for BYU with a 6-2 victory. Levelston and Tullis were down 3-0 at the start of their doubles set. They went on to win six of their next seven games, defeating their opponents 6-4 and securing the doubles point for the Cougars.

Huang put BYU up 2-0 with a two-set singles win against her opponent. Bluestein and Kovick were each defeated after narrowly losing their second-set tiebreaks, tying the match 2-2.
After tying the first set 5-5, Levelston took the next two games to win it 7-5. She carried the momentum into the second set, winning it 6-4 and putting the Cougars up 3-2.
Smith won her first set in a 7-5 tiebreak. She took the second set 6-2 to clinch the match for BYU, 4-2.
Tan left her match unfinished at 7-5, 4-6, 2-3.
