PROVO, Utah — The BYU women's tennis team fought against top-ranked Texas Tech on Saturday, losing 4-2 with two singles wins from Bobo Huang and Kendall Kovick. The Cougars are now 11-6 overall and 6-1 at home.

The Raiders took the first doubles match against Levelston and Tullis. No. 5 doubles team Sayfetdinova and Hlahola secured the doubles point for Texas Tech with a narrow 6-4 win against Huang and Tan.

Huang tied the match for the Cougars after defeating her opponent in two sets. Bluestein took her first set but lost the next two, allowing the Raiders to regain the lead.
After being down 3-1 in the first set, Levelston broke back and tied the set 6-6, then lost the tiebreak. She narrowly lost the second set, giving Texas Tech a 3-1 lead.
Despite a first-set loss, Kovick came back in the next two sets, allowing her opponent to win only four total games.
Smith lost her first set and overcame four match points in the second, taking two-straight games after being down 5-1. She lost the second set 6-3, sealing the Raiders' victory 4-2. Tan left her match unfinished after winning the first set 6-4.
