PROVO, Utah — No. 67 BYU celebrated Senior Day and the end of the regular season with two wins from graduating seniors Bobo Huang and Madison Smith, aiding the team's 4-2 victory against Houston.

Huang ended the regular season with 18 singles wins, recording a career high in singles victories for a single season. Smith also surpassed her previous career high in singles victories with eight total. 

Doubles Results

Order of finish: 3,1

Levelston and Tullis took the first doubles set for BYU, winning 6-1. Kovick and Bluestein followed closely behind with a 6-2 finish, securing the doubles point for the Cougars. Huang and Smith left their match unfinished at 4-3.

Singles Results

Order of finish: 1,4,5,2,3

Huang only allowed her opponent to win one game in a 6-1, 6-0 victory, putting BYU up 2-0. Tan lost her match after a close 6-4 second set, giving Houston its first point of the match.

Smith secured the Cougars' second senior singles win in a two-set match and lengthened the team's lead 3-1. The Houston Cougars took another singles match with a victory against Levelston.

Kovick took the first set against Houston and narrowly lost the second 7-5. She came back in the third, breaking her opponent twice to aid a 6-3 win. Kovick's match victory clinched the match for BYU 4-2.

Tullis was down 1-4 in the first set and came back to only lose it 6-4. At 1-2 in the second, she won five-straight games to take the set. Tullis left her match unfinished 4-3 in set three.

Today's victory against Houston concludes BYU's regular season matches. The team will travel to Waco, TX next week to play in the Big 12 Championship.
