PROVO, Utah – The Cougars begin their outdoor track and field season on the road at the Utah Tech Invitational at the Greater Zion Stadium on March 21.
Just a week after closing out the Indoor National Championships in Fayetteville, Ark. claiming the first individual national title in a decade and a half, the Cougars roll right into the outdoor season.
Representing the throws group will be Mark Bryant, Kaden Passey, Erik Bryant and Tyler Poole. They are expected to make appearances in the discus and shot put.
The jumps group will feature Connor Saunders, Carter Walker and Hayden Gribble in the high jump.
Middle distance runners Brayden Packard, Jacob Robison and Caleb Johnson will make appearances in the 800-meter.
Jayden Jessee and Garrett Copelin are expected to represent the hurdles group in the 400-meter hurdles with each of them competing in the 110-meter hurdles alongside Treyton Anderson, Kaden Passey and Logan Hubler.
Passey will also represent the sprints group with an expected appearance in the 100-meter. Josh Taylor will make his season debut in the 200-meter. Brayden Dahl and Ty Oustrich will race in the 400-meter. The sprints group will close the meet with a 4x400-meter relay team.
