PROVO, Utah – BYU men’s track and field competes at the Long Beach State Beach Invitational at Jack Rose Track and the Mt. Sac Relays at Hilmer Lodge Stadium on April 17-18.

Erik Bryant is set to open for the Cougars in the hammer throw on Friday before appearing in the discus and shot put Saturday alongside Mark Bryant and Tyler Poole.
Friday, senior Josh Taylor will compete in the 200-meter dash alongside fellow All-American Jonah Heimuli who will be joined by Brayden Dahl, Jayden Jessee and Garrett Copelin in the event
Hayden Gribble, Brinton Paulson and Carson Riner will close out the evening for the Cougars in the javelin throw.
Saturday high jumpers Gribble, Connor Saunders and Carter Walker will compete in the morning with Silas Zimmerman and Dallin Thornton appearing in the pole vault.
Treyton Anderson, Dahl, Logan Hubler and Taylor are expected to compete in the 4x100-meter relay before Hubler, Copelin, Anderson and Jessee make an appearance in the 110-meter hurdles. Dahl, Hubler, Anderson, Jessee and Copelin are also expected to compete in the 400-meter hurdles.
Taylor, Heimuli and Ty Oustrich all have entries in the 400-meter dash with Oustrich also competing in the 200-meter dash Saturday evening.
The 4x400-meter relay group featuring Taylor, Heimuli, Copelin and Dahl will then close out the meet for BYU.
