The recognition follows the athletes performances at the Big 12 Championship.

IRVING, Texas – Seven Cougars earned first- and second-team All-Big 12 honors, the conference announced Wednesday.

Per the Big 12 Conference, “The top four finishers will receive first-team All-Big 12 recognition. Individuals finishing fifth through eighth will receive second-team All-Big 12 recognition.”

On the men’s side, Peter Etzold earned both first- and second-team recognition following his performance in the 200 breaststroke and 100 breaststroke events. Tanner Nelson earned first-team honors via his finishes in the 500 freestyle and 400 individual medley. Easton Mousser was also awarded first-team recognition after taking third in the 1,650 freestyle.

Jacob Ballard, Will Bonnett and Martí Llop were named to the second team as well.

Lucy Warnick was the sole representative from the BYU women’s program, earning first-team honors from her third-place performance in the 400 individual medley.
