PROVO, Utah — No. 25 BYU women's volleyball hits the road for a match at Boise State this week.
The Cougars (3-1, 0-0 Big 12) and Broncos will square off Tuesday at 6 p.m. MT in ExtraMile Arena.

BYU split its home-opening slate last week, sweeping Eastern Illinois before falling in four sets to No. 2 Pittsburgh.
The Cougars hit .250 in their sweep of EIU, led by 12 kills and four of the team's eight aces from Elli Mortensen.
The following night, BYU kept close with Pitt in the first two sets, even taking the second, but ultimately dropped the match to the second-seeded Panthers in four sets.
Claire Little Chambers posted a double-double of 17 kills and 11 digs in the contest, her first of the season and 15th of her career.
As a team, the Cougars hit .244 on the week, powered by middle blockers Brooke Hardy (13 kills, .500 hitting percentage) and Kelli Jo Burgess (11 kills, .400) as well as Little Chambers, whose team-high 25 kills came on a .315 clip.
Setters Kaylie Kofe (39 assists) and Alex Bower (36 assists) combined to average 12.57 assists per set, while Lulu Po'uha (3.43 digs per set), Little Chambers (2.43 digs per set) and Elli Mortensen (1.29 digs per set) paced BYU to a 10.00 digs-per-set average.
Burgess once again led the way at the net, totaling 12 blocks for a 1.71 blocks-per-set average. Opposite hitter Kate Prior also contributed defensively, averaging a block per set of her own.
Heading into week three, the Cougars aren't ranked higher than No. 42 nationally and eighth in the Big 12 in statistical rankings, but do have a pair of top 20 metrics on the individual side.
Burgess' 1.75 blocks-per-set average ranks No. 7 in the country and leads the Big 12, while Mortensen's 0.77 aces per set are good for third in the conference and No. 16 nationally.
Heading out on its second road trip of the year, BYU visits Boise State for just the fourth time in series history and the first time since 2017.
Boise State (3-3, 0-0 Pac-12)
- The Broncos hosted the Boise State Classic last week, picking up sweeps of North Dakota State and UNLV before falling to Idaho State in five sets.
- BSU went 1-1 against Middle Tennessee and swept UNC Asheville to open the 2026 season.
- Head coach Shawn Garus is in his 18th season with the Broncos. He is 301-212 (.587) at Boise State and 416-332 (.556) in his career.
- BYU leads the all-time series, 10-0, and is 3-0 against the Broncos in Boise. Cougar head coach Rob Neilson went 10-4 against BSU during his six seasons at Utah State, including a 5-2 record in Boise.
- The last meeting between the two teams came in 2021 during the NCAA Tournament, a 3-0 BYU sweep in Provo.
