Women’s golf to compete in OU Intercollegiate

BYU women’s golf will compete in the OU Intercollegiate presented by PDI at Wichita Country Club on Monday and Tuesday in Wichita, Kansas.

WICHITA, Kan. — BYU women’s golf will compete in the OU Intercollegiate presented by PDI on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 5-6, at Wichita Country Club in Wichita, Kan.

Freshman Kate Walker leads the starting lineup, looking to build on her second-place finish at the Red Raider Invitational. Seniors Whitney Banz and María José “MJ” Barragán join junior Kanyanol (Naji) Aramkul, who will make her season debut in Wichita. Freshman Tatum Otto rounds out the lineup. Junior Ava Schroeder and sophomore Nya Palmer will compete as individuals.

BYU joins 10 other teams in the field, including tournament host Oklahoma, No. 23 Eastern Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, Oral Roberts, Sam Houston, Santa Clara, Texas A&M, Toledo and UT Rio Grande Valley.

The Cougars will play 36 holes on Monday, followed by 18 holes on Tuesday.

BYU is coming off a first-place finish at the Red Raider Invitational, its first tournament win of the season. All five starters for the Cougars finished in the Top 25.

The first round will begin Monday with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. MDT. Live scoring for the event will be available at scoreboard.com.
