PROVO, Utah — No. 47 BYU women’s tennis (9-1) returns to the BYU Indoor Tennis Courts on Friday, Feb. 20, for a home doubleheader against Weber State at 11 a.m. MST and Colorado State at 5 p.m. MST.

The Cougars enter the weekend riding a seven-match win streak and have been strong in every setting this spring, posting a 2-0 record at home, 5-0 on the road and 2-1 at neutral sites. BYU’s only loss of the season came earlier in January, and the Cougars have responded by stringing together consistent performances across the lineup. Friday’s doubleheader marks BYU’s final nonconference matches before opening Big 12 Conference play.

BYU opened its home slate with a 6-1 win over Washington State, setting the tone with strong doubles play and five singles victories. The Cougars followed that performance with a 4-2 win over Denver, bouncing back after dropping the doubles point and winning four of six singles matches to secure the team victory. The recent results highlighted BYU’s depth and ability to adjust mid-match.

The Cougars will open Friday against Weber State, which enters the matchup at 0-5 overall and is still searching for its first win of the season. Later in the day, BYU will face Colorado State, which comes to Provo with a 3-4 record and is looking to snap a two-match losing streak. The Rams have picked up wins at neutral sites this season but have yet to record a road victory.

BYU has built its momentum behind steady doubles pairings and balanced production throughout the singles lineup, led in part by the nationally ranked doubles team of Kendall Kovick and Gracie Levelston, who sit at No. 41 in the latest ITA rankings. The Cougars will look to continue that form as they defend home court in Friday’s doubleheader.
