PROVO, Utah - Hundreds of BYU student-athletes came together for a service project on Thursday as part of the University's annual Honor Week.

Gathering in the Smith Fieldhouse annex, student-athletes dressed in BEYOU shirts put together 5,600 hygiene kits from materials provided by the Latter-day Saint Humanitarian Center.

"It's great to serve," said Keaton Kringlen, a member of the BYU baseball team. "We're doing small things right now that will help change someone's life in a big way."

The kits will be donated to The Road Home, a private non-profit social services agency that assists individuals and families experiencing homelessness.

"It's been incredible to see the generosity of these student-athletes to those who are in need," said Randy Foote, operations manager at the Latter-day Saint Humanitarian Center.
