Katie Larkin -- Soccer -- Senior -- Sandy, Utah
Larkin has scored three goals in conference play, and has had two game-winning goals in MWC play. She scored the game-winning goal against New Mexico to help the Cougars improve their four-game conference win streak. Larkin leads the team with seven goals and 42 shots. Her offensive prowess drew multiple defenders and allowed forwards Katie Fellows Hodgkiss and Kassidy Christensen to get free for goals in the two wins.
Andrea Willis -- Soccer -- Junior -- Riverside, Calif.
Willis anchored a defense that only allowed one goal last week and has only allowed one goal in conference play. TCU had scored 37 goals coming into Thursday’s game, and Willis led the defense in the shutout, only the second for TCU all season. Consistently taking on TCU’s leading scorer, Jordan Calhoun, Willis held her scoreless and allowed only three shots on goal. Playing the majority of the two games, Willis led the defense in holding New Mexico to only three shots on goal.
Austin Collie – Football – Junior – El Dorado Hills, Calif.
A bright spot in a tough game for BYU at TCU, Collie had six catches for a game high 116 yards. Collie broke the 100-yard receiving mark for the fifth straight game after recording no receptions in the first quarter. His first reception of the night was a 23-yarder in the second quarter.
Collie’s five-consecutive 100-yard games ties a MWC record set by J.R. Tolver of SDSU in 2002. Collie now has 11 career 100-yard receiving games, which is third all-time at BYU.
The 6-foot-2, 206-pound junior from El Dorado Hills, Calif., now has 2,506 career-receiving yards, surpassing both Mark Bellini (2,429, sixth) and Gordon Hudson (2,484, fifth) on BYU’s all-time career receiving list into fifth place. He needs only 42 more yards to pass Phil Odle (2,548 yards) and claim the No. 4 spot.
Collie is currently fourth in the nation in yards per game (112.71), fifth in total receiving yards (789) and eighth in catches per game (7.57). He leads the MWC in all three categories.
Stephan Shay -- Cross Country -- Senior -- East Jordan, Mich.
In the Men’s White Race, BYU placed third overall with 154 points, out of 40 teams. BYU’s Stephan Shay placed first for BYU (23:55.3), and 19th overall, out of 267 runners.
