PROVO, Utah – BYU will host its eighth annual Football Media Day on Friday, June 22, at the BYU Broadcasting Building.

In addition to the many interview sessions attended by the media throughout the day, fans can expect a day filled with BYU football programming on BYUtv, BYU Radio and other news outlets, including ESPN3. BYUtv will broadcast 13 consecutive hours of programming about BYU football during the day, including three live specials: The State of the Program featuring BYU head coach Kalani Sitake, Cougars in the NFL and a special two-hour BYU Sports Nation

BYU Radio, available on SiriusXM Channel 143 and online at byuradio.org, will provide significant coverage that includes both original content and simulcasts of The State of the Program and BYU Sports NationBehind the Mic with Greg Wrubell, the Voice of the Cougars, will be broadcast live from 12-2 p.m. MDT, featuring interviews with BYU coaches and current and former players. 

In addition to BYUtv and BYU Radio broadcasts, fans can tune in to BYUtv Sports' YouTube channel for live web chats at three different times throughout the day—8-9 a.m., 12-2 p.m., and 3-3:45 p.m. MDT—to hear more from BYU coaches, standout players and special guests. Fans can also stay connected with constant social media interaction all day.

Among the highlights of the day are two live shows in addition to the special two-hour BYU Sports Nation. The first live show, The State of the Program, will air at 9 a.m. MDT (11 a.m. EDT) and feature athletic director Tom Holmoe, head coach Kalani Sitake and assistant coaches discussing the football program as it prepares for the 2018 season. ESPN college football analyst Trevor Matich will also be live on set to discuss the Cougars' 2018 outlook. The State of the Program will be simulcast on ESPN3 in addition to BYUtv, BYUtv.org and BYU Radio. 

Following the first live show, BYU Sports Nation will air at 10 a.m. MDT (noon EDT) on both BYUtv and BYU Radio, while being simulcast on ESPN3, with an extended two-hour show featuring live interviews with Coach Sitake, Cougar players and coaches and special guests. 

Cougars in the NFL is a live program airing at 2 p.m. MDT (4 p.m. EDT) on BYUtv that will highlight the experiences of former BYU players currently playing in the NFL. The one-hour program features an in-studio panel of BYU’s last three draft picks Fred Warner, Jamaal Williams and Bronson Kaufusi and longtime NFL veteran John Denney, while also providing fans insights from Ziggy Ansah, Taysom Hill and other current NFL players. 

Fans can also follow the day's events by listening to additional local, live radio broadcasts originating from Football Media Day. BYUtv will also rebroadcast The State of the Program and Cougars in the NFL for fans who missed them live. They will also be available on demand at BYUtv.org along with BYU Sports Nation.
